First Friday at PrintSpace
February 6th

Not an etching press, but a button press!
Join the Button Factory assembly line to press your own messages and images onto a wearable 1.5" button.
I have blank circles for those who want to use pens, pencils, markers and alphabet stamps to create an original message or image.
I also have circle cutters to use with "readymades", magazines and calendars with loads of images and words. The circle cutter can be used like a viewfinder, searching through the materials for that perfect button image.
If there are images you have that you’d like to cut out, bring them along. Be aware that the button size is 1.5 inches, but the actual image size is more like 1 inch.
Hopefully, we'll be in February thaw mode. I may need to make a Groundhog button!

About First Fridays
First Fridays at PrintSpace have been a way to come together once a month and share ideas and interests while making prints of one kind or another. We have created some great art together, and I've appreciated the innovations, support and kindness of our community of printers!
It has also served as a teaser. Do you like this particular technique and want to explore its properties in depth? Schedule a session to experiment and print with your own focus. Organize your own small group session for a great bonding activity!
I absolutely love opening the studio so people can experience the workings of an etching press and the camaraderie of a printmaking studio.
